The #US has many untapped #hydropower resources across the country that could rapidly expand America’s renewable #energy portfolio. The (pictured) Ridgway Dam in #Colorado was originally built in 1987 and recently installed hydroelectric generation to provide#electricity to the city of #Aspen. Our office announced new funding today that could increase hydropower generation through the research and development of technologies for hydropower systems with minimal #environmental impacts.
