Helping Cleantech Start-ups Understand Social Media

Monday, May 13, 2013

The Colorado Center for Renewable Energy Economic Development (CREED) at the Energy Department's National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) in collaboration with the Colorado Cleantech Industry Association (CCIA) invites cleantech entrepreneurs to attend the next event in its Entrepreneur Series.
The May 15 class, "Social Media and Strategic Messaging," will help cleantech entrepreneurs learn how to craft language about their companies that can be used in pitches and news releases, and on websites.

CREED's Entrepreneur Series provides support for companies trying to get off the ground. The Entrepreneur Series builds a community among cleantech participants so they can draw on one another for expertise, support and networks.

Speakers for this workshop are Hollie Rogin from Posit Partners and Jill Thompson from Metzger Associates. This workshop will cover:
  • Why you need strategic messaging
  • The purpose and benefits of using social media
  • What content to include in your messaging
  • When and how to successfully use strategic messaging and social media
CREED is a collaborative partnership between the NREL and Colorado to expand clean tech entrepreneurship in the state. It is designed to bring together stakeholders and service providers that support the creation and growth of startup cleantech companies, contributing to economic development in Colorado.
