From the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy:
The Energy Department contributes to the development of advanced #biofuels, not only to reduce our dependence on foreign oil, but also to protect our domestic natural resources, such as water. To develop more appropriate feedstocks for biofuels in water-limited areas, the Energy Department’s Argonne National Laboratory recently released a new Water Assessment for Transportation Energy Resources (WATER) online tool that includes wood residue as a feedstock for the first time. Learn more about this tool funded by our office that could help transition #Americato a more sustainable and independent #energy future:http://go.usa.gov/JS4P.
