Thousands of #jobs could be supported by a #US offshore wind industry, according to a new modeling tool developed by the Energy Department’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory. For example in the Gulf Coast region, the tool, which assesses #economic impacts, indicates a 500-megawatt offshore wind #energy project could support 14,500 full-time jobs during construction and up to 650 long-term jobs.
