Benefits of Biofuels

From the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy:

These wood chips are among a group of non-edible plants such as corn husks, stalks, and leaves that can be used to make cellulosic #ethanol and advanced #biofuels for your car and our military. Using biofuels instead of petroleum can improve #US national security, the #economy, and the #environment. But developing affordable and widely available biofuels for consumers is a large task. That’s why the Energy Department works with seven different federal agencies to coordinate biofuel research and development activities. Read about some of our Bioenergy Technologies Office's collaborative work with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) in the EERE Blog:http://go.usa.gov/3WB6e
