Clean Energy Entrepreneurship

From the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy:

Clean energy #entrepreneurs play an important role in solving our nation’s toughest #energy challenges. They develop and deliver high-impact technologies that can boost #American competitiveness, bring cutting-edge solutions to the market, and strengthen our economic prosperity. FGC Plasma Solutions—winner of this year’s Clean Energy Trust Clean Energy Challenge in#Chicago—has developed and commercialized an innovative way to inject fuel into #jet engines that improves safety while decreasing fuel consumption. Hailing from Case Western Reserve University, FGC Plasma Solutions took home $100,000 in prizes and reserved a spot in our fourth annual National Clean Energy Business Plan Competition this #summer in Washington, D.C. Pictured below is the plasma-based fuel injection system that burns brighter and with fewer emissions when plasma is added.
