Better Buildings Challenge

From the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy:

It’s been an energizing week for #efficiency in #Texas. Dr. Kathleen Hogan, our Deputy Assistant Secretary for Energy Efficiency (pictured below inspecting recently installed LEDs), recognized the cities of San Antonio and Fort Worth for partnering with the Energy Department in the Better Buildings Challenge to dramatically improve building energy use. The San Antonio Housing Authority and the local Macy'scommitted to reduce their #energy use 20% across their entire buildings portfolio. Fort Worth City Hall (City of Fort Worth) has already achieved an 8% energy savings across 19 million square feet of public and private sector buildings and is on track to improve energy use by 20% by 2020.
