Reducing Potential Adverse Impacts on Threatened & Endangered Species

From the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy:

We’re ramping up research funding to protect #wildlife, including bats and birds, near wind turbines. Today, we announced five new projects to reduce the potential impacts of wind farms on sensitive bat species. The supported research includes test coatings to deter bats from approaching wind turbines, an ultrasonic acoustic deterrent system and an ultrasonic whistle. Learn more: http://go.usa.gov/3WZN5
